Spitbank Fort
Unique wedding venues are hard to come by. However, if you’re looking for a venue in Hampshire that offers something entirely different, then check out Spitbank Fort. Spitbank Fort is a sea fort built as a result of the 1859 Royal Commission and used to defend Portsmouth Harbour from invading enemies. Fast forward over a hundred years and its now a luxurious sea hotel and wedding venue that is simply unparalled in the industry. Your guests will arrive at the departure point at Gunwharf Quay and be taken by boat to the fort. Once at Spitbank you’ll revel in the mix of luxury and history with unique features like a crows nest, hot pool and sun decks. Your wedding breakfast will take place in the old Officer’s Mess. There’s room for around 16 guests to stay on the fort with the remainder being escorted back to the mainland around midnight. It’s truly an amazing experience and one to consider without question.
