Recommened Photographer at Gate Street Barn
Cold weather and good time. Both accented with a love of Gin. This is the wedding of Lucy and Ian at the glorious Gate Street Barn just outside of Guildford, in Surrey. I met up with Lucy at The Crown Inn (a popular jumping off point for Gate Street weddings) in Chiddingfold. I got to catch up with a former Bride (and now Bridesmaid) Natalie. I always love getting to weddings where I know some familiar faces. Darren met Ian and his Best (wo)Man also known as one of his two daughters. Special. The afternoon skipped by as the sun began to drop on the low winter sky. For me, I was curious. How would Ian’s Best Man cope with the pressures of delivering a speech. I didn’t ask her age but if she was a teenager I’d be close either way. Well. The answer is. Spectacularly. Delivered via video her comic timing and poise rivaled any Best Man’s speech I’ve seen. Well done! But let’s not forget the gorgeous Lucy (who was a Bridesmaid at Natalie’s wedding) who herself delivered an emotional speech as Bride and Step-Mum. This was a feel good, happy ending story to say the least.
