Laura and John – Summer Wedding at Tithe Barn, Ditcham
Wow. Just wow. The sky was blue, the sun was hot and the day was extraordinary. It was the start of a 3 wedding weekend for me and I really wanted it to be a good one. I didn’t leave disappointed. In Southsea I started with Laura and the girls. A giggle, a lengthy discussion on hair flowers and even a few happy tears led to a wonderful set of images from the Bridal Preparations (not sure if that should be capitalised). I zoomed up the A3 and made it to Tithe Barn with enough time to find the boys, fresh from the pub with Darren. All that was needed was Laura and she arrived in a classic American pick up truck owned by family. It was beautiful. Almost as beautiful as Laura herself. I knew that the truck would have to feature but at this point I wasn’t sure how. A gorgeous ceremony, some amazing singing (by part of the wedding party) and we were all out enjoying the August sunshine. We decided to save the couple photographs until after the speeches as the light would be wonderful and the couple totally relaxed. Laura’s mum delivered a heart felt and very emotional speech. Even I got a bit of ‘water’ in my eye. The Best Men, comedians by night, kept us all entertained. A wonderful evening of dancing followed. Thanks to John and Laura for allowing me to photograph their wedding. An truly unrivalled start to a three wedding weekend for sure.
