Becky and Ben – Winter Wedding at Botleys Mansion

Sunshine, rain, wind, rain, sunshine, clouds. A buffet of weather for a tremendous day with Becky and Ben at Botleys Mansion, an incredible wedding venue near Weybridge in Surrey. It had been a while since I had seen quite so many Bridesmaids. It was a bit like stocking up for winter for me as the slow season arrives. In it all was Becky. Her face a wash with excitement, happiness, tension. You name it, she was probably feeling it. I got the feeling that all would be fine once their kids arrived from school ready to take part in the day’s festivities. I wasn’t wrong. A weight lifted and things were ready to roll. This was my first time at Botleys. I looked forward to this wedding all year as its a venue I was keen to try. I would have loved to see it in June or September when the full use of the grounds was available. However, even with the lawns out of action I loved what I saw. Some great spaces and great light. Of course that light disappeared quite quickly in mid November. The wedding breakfast was a mix of great laughs, poignant speeches and even a tag team Best Men speech involving a music video. Classic. I stayed on a little longer and took as much as I could on the dance floor. A terrific band kept it lively and the guests were keen to let it hang out. Nice.
