Are you a fan of Bake Off? I am. And this made the wedding of Gemma and Craig at Farbridge near Chichester even more amazing. A few years back Gemma started to copy the challenges from the show. First the technical, then the showstopper and finally the signature. It became a weekly obsession. The only problem is, Craig was there to help her eat the cake. He’s ‘not a fan’ shall we say. So of course this led the Great Wedding Cake Off. Sponge vs Cheese. This was only the start of the personalisation of the wedding. There was also the fact that Gemma makes more than just cakes. She handmade the ties for the boys. A task which you might think would seem fairly straight forward but Google it. Its rather involved and more than simply fold and sew. So many amazing personal touches. Like her niece singing during the signing and her nephew reading about how marriage is like a dog (strange at first but deeply paralleled). Family from far and wide and even guests from Alabama. Sweet home apparently. A brilliant day capped out with some amazing music by The Deloreans.
