Tithe Barn Wedding Photographer Sarah and James
Good golly Ms Molly. Once again I find myself at the glorious, amazing, breath taking, regal Tithe Barn in Hampshire. As a recommended photographer at Tithe Barn I’m never too far away. In golfing terms I reckon from me to them is about a Par 29. So easily reachable in … well … 29. Titanium drivers aside it was brilliant to get back to ‘Da Barn’ and this time via The Old Thorns in Liphook. There are some striking similarities to my own wedding which takes place in August. I’ll be getting ready at The Old Thorns and married at Tithe Barn. It’s a winning combo I tell you!
But this day is about James and Sarah. When I arrived Old Thorns I noticed a VW campervan parked right outside the apartment (yes, they have some amazing multi-room apartments) and thought “wow…they are early”. No sign of a driver so I assumed it must be there for a different wedding. Wrong! It’s actually Sarah’s parents. Or better described to me as Sarah’s mum’s. I just want to be clear so I don’t start s family riot.
The apartment was top quality and provided me some pretty incredible light. The Bridesmaids were totally on board with me wandering about. Helpful. For what amounted to a relatively short Bridal Prep I am really pleased with the results.
After two trips in the campervan Sarah was now at the barn ready for the business end of things. With the weather continuing to hold (it was a tad breezy but the rain was staying away) she was able to walk up the lane to the ceremony. I love that. It’s so rustic and natural.
A brilliant ceremony with two really thought provoking readings culminated in a job well done. They were married!
With the promise of better weather to come I opted to defer the couple photos until after the meal which meant that once the family groups were complete it was easy to simply let Sarah and James mingle and get time with their family and friends. That is, after all, why they are there.
Top notch catering by Vanilla (also our caterer) rounded out the afternoon before some compelling and heart felt speeches by Sarah’s father, James and his Best Man. No Powerpoints required here. Just good old fashioned story telling delivered perfectly.
With the band set up and the cake in position it was finally time to kick the party off and with the fantastic band I was keen to stick around and get a bit extra. I’m glad I did. Awesome music, awesome response.
Below are some examples of images from the day. For more images and background you can check out my Facebook Business Page or Sarah and James’ slideshow on my main website.
